So the Jam (no, not the "Town Called Malice" Jam) are coming to the Molson Amphitheatre on the 21st of August.
This morning my on-and-off again favourite radio station is holding a pre-sale at 10:00. I hope I can get some tickets then, but my boss is in the office today, and there's a global conference call at the same time he wants us to sit in on. I'm sure he'll understand if I'm five minutes late on the call though, since the first 5 minutes usually consist of people still checking in, and a roll-call.
I REALLY hope I can get these tickets today. I love the band, and I love the venue. It's a covered outdoor band-stand that's on a little chunk of land that sticks out into Lake Ontario, and I loved it when I saw The Cult there a few years ago. If I can't get tickets today, I'll probably have to settle for lawns later, and I think that would suck if it rained.
UPDATE: I got the tickets, but it took a few tries. Plus, when I got through, my Ticketmaster account didn't have my new credit card number on it, so I had to go do it all over again so I could add it. On top of that, I ended up with the cheaper ones, so they're probably lawns like I guessed, but they certainly didn't end up being cheap! Where does one get off charging $113.00 for two $39.50 tickets?

PEARL JAM!?!?!?
THE CULT!?!?!
You have good taste in music! :D
Wow, I didn't even know they both still toured. Bringing me back to hazy memories of 1993. :D AHH...
Good old Ticket Master charging an arm and a leg. At least you were able to get tickets! Huge concerts like that sell out so fast! I tried to get tickets to see the Tragically Hip a couple years ago and they were sold out in like 5 minutes. Luckily most of the music I like don't sell out concerts :)
Same here....any time an 80's band decides to reunite and come to Toronto, I jump right on that, but usually I can get tickets no problem. And the best part is no kiddies! Really, who else knows about Blue Peter?
Not many! Canadian bands are so underrated!
